The middle school teen program is going on a field trip today. They are going to the movies to see "X-Men III". I would love to go, having seen the first two, but I have to stay at the center.
The other campers will stay at the center today, since they went to see "Over The Hedge" yesterday. Everyone liked that movie.
For lunch, they have a choice of either mystery meat with cheese sandwich or the peanut butter and jelly pocket sandwich. I think they will go with the latter, since that seems to be a favorite.
As for the other sandwich, we are still trying to identify what type of meat is on it.
"Is it animal or vegetable?"

As we come near the end of the second week of the invasion, the middle school campers are becoming more disrespectful because they must follow new rules set down by our fearless leader, the facility supervisor.
One problem with the summer camp is that we have children watching children. There are high school students who work the after school program/summer camp as a counselor, and they try to be more of a buddy to the camp participants rather than an authority figure. So when the children get out of control, the counselor does nothing about it. One counselor in particular, is really bad for this. It has gotten to the point that I know when his group was previously in a room because of the mess that was made. I also know if he worked to close because nothing was done from last night.
The trash was not taken out. Nothing was put away. It looked like a bomb went off in the neighborhood center. I guess he had more important things to do. Like look at girls' profiles on my.space.com.
The facility supervisor here is more professional than other center managers from the past. So it has been an effort to re-train some of the counselors. It is hard to re-train an employee, however, when they just don't care. Then they use the excuse about the wages, and that allows them not to put an effort in to their work.
Because of this, it rubs off on the children, especially the middle school campers who are looking for someone as a role model. It is not setting a good example. We have rules basically for the campers to follow for their safety. The middle school campers are mad because they have gotten away with so much in the past because of poor counseling. Now that there are counselors that are much more mature and professional in their job, the campers are unhappy.

Earlier this morning I was driving north on Orange Avenue going towards downtown Orlando when some graffiti caught my eye on the side of a building. In big, blue letters was the following statement:
"Ignore The Poor"
I read the statement and thought to myself, "Now who would write that?"
Then I thought to myself, it must have been a friend of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. Or a friend of one of the city council members for the City of Orlando. All his administration cares about is the rich people, such as the real estate developers.
Or it could have been a supporter of President George Bush. Isn't that his policy for America.
"Ignore The Poor".
It sure looks that way to me.

In a recent poll taken by NME.com, over 40,000 British rock and roll fans were asked what their favorite album was. Surprising many rock and roll music fans, the top album was not a Beatles album. The top album of all time in the poll was Oasis' 1994 debut, Definetly Maybe. Oasis also had the fifth best album, (What's The Story)Morning Glory.
The Beatles had the second best album ever, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. This would be my choice for the best album ever made, being the first "concept" album to tell a story. It is also worth buying for the cover.
Third was the Beatles album, Revolver. Fourth on the list was another surprise. That slot was taken by Radiohead for "Ok, Computer." Radiohead had another album on the list, "The Bends". And Nirvana, another group from the 90's, made the list with "Nevermind".
I do not have any Oasis or Radiohead in my collection, but I do have Nirvana's "Nevermind". I can honestly say that I enjoy listening to that album more at this point in time rather than it was first released. I have listened to Oasis and Radiohead before, but I am really curious in buying "Definitely Maybe" and give it a listen in its entirety.
There are other albums on the list, such as Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon", which would be my number two all-time best album, David Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars", The Clash with "London Calling", which is my number three, and the Sex Pistols "Nevermind The Bullocks".
If you want to see the list of the top twenty albums, you can go to NME.com.
In case you are wondering, Led Zepplin "IV" is on the list. As it should be. I cannot imagine an album with "Stairway to Heaven" not being on the list.
It just wouldn't be right.
