Thoughts from a drinking buddy

 Monday

I somehow managed to stain my shirt this morning during breakfast. I was a minute late to work because I had to take an alternative route due to road work being done. And the neighborhood center was a mess from the weekend.

Oh, that's right. It's MONDAY!

I hope your Monday started off better.

My Monday is doing better, now that I had my coffee.

I'll holler at y'all later.

 Up And Running Again

Hello everyone,

I got everything straightened out with my phone line, and my computer is up and running again. My television went out, and I finally got around to buying a new one a few weeks ago.

There was a problem with the phone line, so no computer. Now I am back on line.

We have television, we have computer, we have beer. Houston,we have no problem.

There are plenty of problems, though, but I am not going to worry about that until after the weekend. For now, I am trying to figure out what to write about next time.

After I make up for that hour of sleep I lost over last weekend.

As Chevy Chase would say, "That's the news. Good night, and have a pleasant tomorrow."

 Life, Part 2

Have you ever woke up in the morning feeling like the character Bill Murray played in the movie "Groundhog's Day"?

This is the sort of week I am currently experiencing. Actually, my whole life has been like that.

I am currently having some problems with my ISP on my home computer, therefore, I have been unable to write in my blog. I can use the computer at work, but only during my break times. I have been keeping up with everyone at Blogstream, and I have been enjoying your blogs when I get a chance to read them. When I can get any problems with my ISP solved and my computer online, I will start writing in my blog again.

I have been dealing with a few problems over the years, and I have tried to do my best to correct any of the problems I may be currently facing. If anyone was alarmed about my post the other day, don't worry. I have a lot on my mind lately, but any problems I may be dealing with can be resolved. It is just going to take time. It will work out.

Even when I am having problems, I always try to remain upbeat. My last blog, however, was the way I felt that day. I have things to do,so take care and I will get with everyone when everything is up and running.

I also have places to go. I'll let the groundhog drive. Until he gets angry.

 Otters

After dinner, when the weather is nice, I walk down to Lake Underhill Park and go for a walk on the trail along the lake. Usually when I go for a walk, I will watch the ducks swim along the shore or waddle around lakeside looking for food. There are several other water fowl, such as blue herons, cranes, anhingas, and moorhens. One evening I walked along the park, and I could see an alligator swimming off to the distance. I am glad he wasn't looking for food. There are turtles that swim by the dock, and even an alligator snapper turtle will come out from the cattails looking for a bite to eat.

Tonight when I went for a walk, I saw two otters. It was the first time I have ever seen an otter outside of the zoo. As I walked along the lake, I saw movement under the water, causing ripples across the lake's surface. Suddenly, a head popped up and looked around. A few feet ahead, another head popped up out of the water. Both otters looked at each other, like as if to say "Oh! There you are!" Then they proceeded to swim along the shore of the lake. This continued for awhile. I would stop every so often to watch them as they got up into the grass and rolled around, then ran back down to the lake and dove into the water like the way children do at the pool on a hot summer day.

I finally lost track of them after they ran back into the water and swam into the cattails. Hopefully, I will see these two again when I go for my walk along the lake.

It just makes me wish that I had a camera with me.
