It was a really bad day at work today, and I came home much later than expected. I checked out any comments that anyone may have left on my last post, and I was planning on leaving a response to everyone. But I just don't feel up to it right now.

So if you don't hear back from me, I will get back to all of you soon. And if I have not posted anything by Monday, may everyone have a Happy Saint Patrick's Day.

Well, I see on the news that once again a politician is caught in a scandal. Gee, what else is new.

This time, it is New York governor Eliot Spitzer, who recently resigned from the position.

After this had been reported, Governor Eliot Spitzer held a news conference with his wife by his side. Why is it that whenever a politician is caught up in a scandal involving prostitutes, escort services, strippers, or soliciting for sex in a men's bathroom, the wife is always at his side when he has a press conference.

Wouldn't you just once like to see a politician holding a press conference regarding such matters by himself? With no wife by his side? And wouldn't you just like to see a bruise from where the frying pan landed on his face after his wife found out.

I know I would.

The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. After they got their tent set up, both men fell sound asleep. Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says,

"Kemo Sabe, look towards sky, what you see?"

The Lone Ranger replies, "I see millions of stars."

"What that tell you?", asked Tonto.

The Lone Ranger ponders for a moment then says,

"Astronomically speaking,it tells me there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three in the morning."

"Theologically', the Lone Ranger continued, The Lord is all powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow.'"

"What does it tell you, Tonto?"

To which Tonto replied,

"You dumber than buffalo shit, Kemo Sabe. It means that someone stole our fucking tent!"

I am watching the 10:00 p.m. news on Channel 27 WRDQ before I go to bed. Channel 27 is the sister station to the ABC Orlando affiliate WFTV Channel 9. Anyway, there was a story reported about a mother abusing her two-year-old child, and the incident was caught on video.

Apparently, the child was having a temper tantrum while in the car. As the mother became angrier, she drove in to a car wash and hosed the girl down with a high pressure hose. Then she took the child's clothes off and continued to spray the child with the high pressure hose. All of this was caught on the security cameras at the car wash. Employees of the car wash then turned the video over to the authorities, and a warrant was issued for the arrest of the adult in the video. The woman turned herself in to authorities after the video was televised during the news broadcast.

I don't know about how things are where you live, but it seems like every time I turn on the news, there is someone being arrested for having child pornography. Someone exposing their privates to a school age girl, a teacher busted for having sexual relations with a child, and someone beating a child. And I am thinking to myself that it seems like Florida has more than their share of this.

I can't imagine why there are so many people like this, and it seems to be constant. Is it just me, or does there appear to be more and more fuck-ups running around in today's society.

I want a minute with that woman who sprayed her child. I want five minutes with the twenty-five year old teacher who sent a middle school girl video of him touching himself. And I want ten minutes with the dirt bag that killed the nine-year-old girl a few years back.

I can save the taxpayers some money on that last one. But there will always be some bleeding heart who will differ.

Sorry for going off on a rant, but it just bothers me on how some people treat children.
